All students have the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of sports and recreational activities after the school day and at weekends. Participation in a range of sports, both individual and team-based and at whatever level, is a vital part of each child's education. Supervised sports and activities are therefore an important part of the curriculum at the school, taking advantage of the wonderful facilities on offer.

Sports and activities in which students take part include

  • Horse-riding at the Bedgebury Riding Centre
  • Tennis, badminton, football, hockey, basketball, netball and rounders
  • Canoeing
  • Swimming
  • 'Outward bound' activities (including climbing and abseiling) on our woodland assault course
  • Trampolining
  • Art club, where students can use the splendid architecture of Bedgebury House to inspire their creativity
  • Student magazine team
  • Individual music lessons can be arranged by visiting teachers.

For those students interested in more competitive sport, we play regular fixtures against other schools.
