Scholarships

Prepare for a successful academic career in the British education system

About The Frank Bell Scholarship

For the academic year 2010/2011, the Bell Educational Trust is offering international students the opportunity to apply for a scholarship to Bell Bedgebury International School – a British boarding school in the UK for international students. Scholarships range in value from 10% up to 75% of the fees and will be awarded to students who best demonstrate, through a personal statement, how a study experience at Bell Bedgebury International School will be valuable preparation for their academic careers.

Scholarships will be awarded to students aged 12-17, and are for one full academic year (three terms, starting from September 2010 – June 2011). However if a student is eligible for the two-year A-level programme the scholarship will continue for the second year of the programme (subject to good performance).

The Frank Bell scholarships are funded by the Bell Educational Trust, the operators of Bell Bedgebury International School, in memory of their founder. Following his experiences as a prisoner of war, where he set up and ran a secret university for his fellow prisoners, Frank Bell founded the Trust with a vision to promote international understanding through the power of education.

"The Bell Educational Trust has a long tradition of supporting international students through scholarships and bursaries. This scholarship gives students from around the world an unrivalled opportunity to learn and grow in the British education system. And with its reputation for excellence in academic and English language teaching, Bell Bedgebury International School provides students with the best possible preparation for the next stage of their academic careers."
