For the academic year 2010/2011, the Bell Educational Trust launched a scholarship fund for international students to study at Bell Bedgebury International School for one full academic year (three terms, starting from September 2010 – June 2011). Scholarships were awarded to students who best demonstrated, through a personal statement, how a study experience at Bell Bedgebury International School would be valuable preparation for their academic careers.

The Frank Bell scholarships are funded by the Bell Educational Trust, the operators of Bell Bedgebury International School, in memory of their founder. Following his experiences as a prisoner of war, where he set up and ran a secret university for his fellow prisoners, Frank Bell founded the Trust with a vision to promote international understanding through the power of education.

"The Bell Educational Trust has a long tradition of supporting international students through scholarships and bursaries. This scholarship gives students from around the world an unrivalled opportunity to learn and grow in the British education system. And with its reputation for excellence in academic and English language teaching, Bell Bedgebury International School provides students with the best possible preparation for the next stage of their academic careers."
