GCSE success for students at Bell Bedgebury International School

Students from Bell Bedgebury International School (BBIS) received their GCSE results today after following a one-year intensive programme of study covering five or six subjects. Most were studying in England for the first time and will be going on to begin A-levels in British boarding schools this September. This year’s top student was Benjamin from Beijing who gained five A* grades and one grade B and will be studying sciences at Abingdon School. Overall, one third of the GCSE results were A or A* grades and students from as far as Kazakhstan, Thailand, Japan and Sweden gained passes at grade B or better in all their subjects. Equally impressive were the performances of five younger students who took some of their GCSEs up to two years ahead of schedule. All of them passed their Maths with high grades and two also gained A grades in IGCSE English.

We wish the students of 2008-2009 every success as they move on from Bedgebury to begin A-levels at a number of schools in the UK including Dulwich College, Badminton School, Concord College and Sidcot School. View our full list of receiving schools.

The new term starts on 8 September where we will welcome a record number of students from over 20 countries including Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Cambodia and Italy. Find out more about courses starting in September.
