The Bell Educational Trust

Bell Bedgebury International School is owned and operated by the Bell Educational Trust, a leading educational charity and one of the largest British-owned providers of English language education services.

In 1972, Frank Bell established an educational charity - the Bell Educational Trust. Its main aims remain:

• to provide language education, mainly in English, for adult students and young learners
• to train teachers of English; and to offer language learning and teacher training experiences that will promote international understanding and intercultural exchange.

The Trust has no shareholders, and money from fees is reinvested in developing and improving the services and facilities for students, and the worldwide services that are offered.

In addition to Bell Bedgebury International School, the Bedgebury estate also plays host to Bell Bedgebury Language Centre and the team that develop and manage Bell’s language and activity programmes.

Each year, Bell helps over 100,000 students, from more than 120 countries through one of its 36 worldwide teaching centres and e-channels, primarily to learn English and other languages.
